Services for Wynelle Pope, 80, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 9, 2003, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Lowrie officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Pope died Sunday, December 7, 2003, in Littlefield, TX. She was born on December 20, 1922. She married William Leslie Pope in Abernathy. He preceded her in death September 22, 1976. She moved to Abernathy in 1936, was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Abernathy Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by a son, William Keith Pope. She is survived by a son, Ronald Earl Pope of Snyder, TX, 4 brothers, Donald Motheral of Kress, TX, Billy John Motheral of Altus, OK, Lawrence Motheral of Abernathy, TX and R. K. Motheral of Palestine, TX. 1 sister, Wilma Pope of Abernathy, TX.
