WILBUR LENOY STALLINGS Services for Wilbur Lenoy Stallings, 76, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Feburary26, 2011, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike O'Donnell officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Stallings died Thursday, February 24, 2011, in Lubbock, TX. He was born August 26, 1934 in Levelland, TX, to Harold Hamilton and Ada (Beaty) Stallings and the family moved to Abernathy in 1947. He married Tommye Ruth Brewster on June 21, 1959 in Abernathy. He was employed in the banking business and retired in 1999 from Wells Fargo in Lubbock. He was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Bob Gates. He is survived by his wife, Tommye Ruth Stallings of Abernathy, TX, 3 children, Darrick and Tami Stallings of Artesia, NM, Bryan Stallings of Irving, TX and Donna Stallings of Lubbock, TX, 2 grandchildren, Chelsea Stallings of Albuquerque, NM and Landon Stallings of Artesia, NM, 3 siblings, Nada Gates of Midland, TX, Geneve and Harris Scott of Abernathy, TX and Charlie Stallings of Lubbock, TX.
