Wayne Teal

Services for Wayne Teal, 73, of New Deal, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 9, 2013, in the First Baptist Church, New Deal, TX, with Rev. Danny Jackson and Rev. Syl Moore officiating. Private family burial will be held in the C. W. & Mildred Teal Family Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Wayne died Monday, August 5, 2013, while doing what he loved, fishing. He was born October 2, 1939 in Lubbock County, TX, to L. B. and Delma Lee (Cocanougher) Teal. He graduated from New Deal High School and married Mildred Ruth Crosnoe, December 5, 1959, in Amherst, TX. He was a member of the New Deal First Baptist Church and was a farmer. He was a co-owner, with Rex McFadden, with the Highway 179 Properties. He enjoyed his family, watching his grandchildren play sports, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Mildred of New Deal, TX, 3 children, Shari Spradling and husband Phil of Edmond, OK, Vickie Ray and husband Gary of Katy, TX, and Ed Teal and wife Connye of Abernathy, TX, 10 grandchildren, Brittany Spradling, Will Spradling, Corbin Ray, Lexie (Ray) Flack and husband Ronnie, Holly Ray and Marcy Ray, Slade Teal, Bryce Teal, Scout Teal and Trew Teal and a brother, Bryan Teal of New Deal, TX. The family suggests memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 237, New Deal, TX 79350 or to a favorite charity.
