Services for W. Dean Littlejohn, 78, were held Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at 3:00 pm at Woodrow Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gentry officiating. Burial followed in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery, Woodrow, TX under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Littlejohn died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. He was born on August 8, 1924 in Navarro County, Texas. He married Mary Beggs on February 13, 1947 in Brownfield, Texas. He served in U.S. Navy from 1941-1945. He moved to Hale Center from Lubbock in 1960 and farmed in the Hale Center area. He was a baptist. Survivors include his wife Mary Littlejohn of Hale Center, TX 1 son: Eddie Littlejohn and his wife Linda of Lubbock, TX 1 daughter: Sherry and her husband, Jim Belk of Eldorado, TX 1 brother: Earl Glenn Littlejohn of Lubbock, TX 1 sister: Joyce Hucabay of Lubbock, TX 5 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
