The Rosary was recited for Viola "Pee Wee" Leal, 72, at 7:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2008, in St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center, TX. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 19, 2008 in the same church with Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial followed in Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home in Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Leal died Wednesday, January 16, 2008, in Lubbock, TX. She was born on April 9, 1935 in Nogales, AZ. She moved to Hale Center in 1950 when she married Guadalupe Espinosa in Plainview, TX. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1973. She married Abelino Leal on June 4, 1974 in Clovis, NM. Over the years she was employed at Dyer Drug, Owl Cafe, and Hale Center Senior Citizens and also at the NuGriddle in Plainview. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. She is survived by her husband, Abelino Leal of Hale Center, TX, 3 sons, Lupe Espinosa of Seattle, WA, Ralph Espinosa of Amarillo, TX and John Espinosa of Ft.Worth, TX, 2 daughters, Sylvia Rodriguez of Sunray, TX and Sandra Grona of Kyle, TX, 2 sisters, Katy Skinner of Clovis, CA, Estella Maldonado of Austin, TX, 15 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
