Verda Meester

Graveside services for Verda Alda Ragland Meester, 93, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 10:00 am Friday, May 9, 2003, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Rev. Ron Kelley, pastor of the Abernathy First United Methodist Church, officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Meester died on Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in Littlefield, TX. She was born on February 18, 1910 in the Lakeview area. She married Jacob M. Meester on December 23, 1928 in Plainview, TX. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1988. Mrs. Meester attended and graduated from the Abernathy School System with the Class of 1927. She and her husband lived in Denton, TX for many years before returning to Abernathy in 1974, where she still lived. She is survived by Nephews and Nieces. Abell Funeral Home
