Services for Venda Robertson, 95, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 23, 2007, in the First United Methodist Church with Dustin Heinen and Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Burial was held in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Abell Funeral Home in Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Robertson died Saturday, October 20, 2007, in Plainview, TX. She was born August 1, 1912 and married John Cosby Robertson on October 19, 1933 in Clovis, N.M. She had lived in Hale Center since 1950 moving from Sudan, TX. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center. She is survived by 3 daughters; Shirley Anderson of Dallas, TX, Jane Drake of Granbury, TX, Sue Dunn of High Point, NC, 7 grandchildren, Denese Heinen, Kayla Wallace, Ricky Rhodes, Cindy Nickell, Tony Dunn, Derek Drake and Darren Drake, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Robertson, a daughter, Johnnie Rhodes Ashley, and a grandson, Scott Dunn. Abell Funeral Home
