Timothy Rogers

Services for Timothy Joe Rogers, 42, were held 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in the First Baptist Church in Hale Center with Dr. Carrol Green officiating. Burial followed in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Rogers died Friday, August 14, 2009, in the Texas Hospital for Advanced Medicine in Farmers Branch, Texas. He was born May 8, 1967 in Hale Center, TX and was a lifelong resident of Hale Center. He graduated from Hale Center High School in 1985 and was employed as a supervisor at Cargill Meat Solutions in Plainview, TX where he worked for 18 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) where he was known as the "Candy Man". He is survived by his wife Rachel Rogers, his parents Joe and Nell Rogers of Hale Center, TX, a son, Jonathan Rogers and daughter, Shelbi Rogers, both of Itasca, TX and a daughter, Makayla Payne of Hale Center, TX, a sister and her husband, Tanya and Rick Uptergrove, 1 nephew, Chad Hinkle, 1 niece and her family Tiffany & Steven Hart and Kaitlynn & Payton.
