Graveside services for Sharon Lee Paxton Reedy, 64, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 28, 2009, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Green, pastor of the Hale Center First Baptist Church, officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Reedy was born April 18, 1944 in Pecos, TX to Russell Lee and Myrtle Annice Neal Paxton. She lived most of her life in Abernathy, moving to Lubbock, TX about 18 years ago. She was a member of the Abernathy First United Methodist Church while living in Abernathy. She graduated from the Hi-Plains Nursing Program, Hi-Plains Hospital, Hale Center, in 1977 and began working as a nurse until retiring in 2003. She is survived by 2 sons; William Lee (Bill) Reedy and Andrew Kyle Reedy both of Lubbock, TX, a brother, Bruce Paxton of Lubbock, TX and 2 sisters, Lila Chesser and Donna K. Williamson both of Arlington, TX. She loved animals and therefore the family has requested memorials be sent to Haven Animal Care Shelter, 4501 FM 1729, Lubbock, TX Abell Funeral Home
