Servando "Sam" Cavazos, JR. 67, of Abernathy, TX, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, in Lubbock, TX. He was born August 31, 1952 in Lima, OH to Servando Cavazos, Sr and Teressa (Delarosa) Cavazos. He married Natividad Salazar, February 18, 1995 in Abernathy and he has been a resident of Hale County for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Natividad Cavazos of Abernathy, 2 sons, Sam Cavazos III and Joe Cavazos both of Abernathy, 2 daughters, Ashely Cooper of Lubbock, TX and Bertha Cavazos of Abernathy, 2 sisters and 1 grandson, Tyson Ray Cooper of Lubbock. Viewing and services will be held in the Cavazos Family home beginning at 1:00 pm Friday, March 13th, until 6:00 pm, Sunday, March 15th.
