Santos Martinez

Santos Martinez was born May 6, 1957 in Hale Center, TX to Edilberto and Sipriana (Paz) Martinez.  Santos was a lifelong Abernathy resident and worked as a pump setter for Wolf Irrigation for 22 years. He married Angie Martinez, February 19, 1977, in Abernathy, TX.  He loved his family and music and was a devoted grandfather.

Mr. Martinez died Sunday, January 6, 2019, in Lubbock, TX.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Hermalinda Perez.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Martinez of Abernathy, 2 sons, Nick Martinez of Lubbock, TX, Dwayne Martinez and wife Jolene of Abernathy and a daughter, Amanda Martinez of Lubbock, 8 grandchildren, Josie Ramirez, Arianna, Mackenzie and Lexy Martinez, Seriah, Kryslyn and Loreyna Sedillo and Jacob Martinez, a great granddaughter, Everly Faith Gonzales, 2 brothers, Robert Martinez, II, of Abernathy and Hugo Martinez of Lubbock and a sister, Maria Martinez of Abernathy.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Liver Foundation, Texas Division, 5605 FM 423, Ste 500-353, Frisco, TX 75034.

Memorial services are set for 2:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019, in Northside Baptist Church, Abernathy, with Rev. Joel Perez, pastor, officiating.  Cremation services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
