Ryan Isaiah Salazar

Rosary for Ryan Isaiah Salazar, 20, of Lubbock, TX, will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday, August 22, 2024, in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Wood, pastor, officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Friday, August 23rd, at the same church with the same officiant. Viewing will be held from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm Thursday, August 22nd at Abell Funeral Home. Cremation and services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy. Ryan died Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Lubbock. He was born September 8, 2003 in Lubbock to Rain Ryan Garcia and Judy Salazar, where he was raised. Ryan enjoyed fishing with his brother, anywhere he could catch a fish. He enjoyed dancing, playing video games, basketball, pool, and reading his Bible. He loved being around family and they were his heart. He had a contagious smile that lit up any room he entered. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Concepcion "Connie" Salazar Ureste in 2023. Survivors include his daughter, Gaia Grace Garcia and Luna Sky Salazar (on the way), Father, Rain Ryan Garcia and his wife Jeanie, Mother, Judy Salazar, both of Lubbock, siblings, Roy Daniel Rivera of Lubbock, Maricela Ruiz of Cibolo, TX and Angel Veliz and husband Mark of Lubbock. He is also survived by his niece and nephew Matthew and Micaela Veliz, aunts and uncles, Antonio Ureste, Jr., and wife Melissa of Abernathy, Lucinda Ureste of Cheyenne, WY, Octavio Ureste and wife Maria of Stanton, TX, and many cousins.
