Rosary for Ruben Amaya, 36, of Hale Center, TX, were recited Sunday, August 24, 2008, at 7:00 pm at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Rev. John Smith officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, August 25, 2008, in the same church with the same officiant. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Amaya died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Plainview, TX. He was born July 19, 1972 in Littlefield, TX. He married Mary Ann Flores, February 16, 2002 in Plainview, TX. He grew up in Olton, TX and attended school there before moving to Hale Center in 1999. He is survived by his wife; Mary Ann Amaya of Hale Center, TX, his Mother, Erma Amaya of Okeechobee, FL, 3 daughters, Marissa Amaya, Trinity Amaya and Maleena Amaya all of Hale Center, TX, a brother , Jesse Amaya, Jr. of Hale Center, TX and 2 sisters, Cathy Amaya and Monica Amaya of Okeechobee, FL.
