Ross Bennett

Ross Roberson Bennett, 42, of Lubbock, TX passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Ross was born March 20, 1967 in Oklahoma City, OK to Clyde and Dolores Roberson Bennett. He graduated from Abernathy High School and attended Texas Tech University from 1985 until 1989 and had returned to Tech to obtain his degree at The Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery. He was very active in Narcotics Anonymous , The Center at Tech and a big believer in Dove Tree Recovery Center which helped him turn his life around 2 1/2 years ago. We would like to thank all he was associated with in the recovery field. Survivors include his Mother and Dad of Lubbock, TX and a sister Robin Bennett Cleveland of Cottageville, SC. Memorials are suggested to the Ross Bennett Scholarship Fund at The Center for Addiction and Recover, Texas Tech University, Box 41162, Lubbock, TX 79409. Memorial services were held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 17, 2009, in St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 1101 Slide Road, Lubbock, TX. Abell Funeral Home
