Rebeca Pena Cano

Services for Rebeca (Becky) Pena Cano, 71, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2016, in the New Harvest Baptist Church with Rev. David Caballero and Rev. Ricky Marquez officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Cano died at her home in Abernathy, Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was born July 2, 1945 to Joe and Frances (Flores) Pena. She married Raul "Pee Wee" Cano, Sr, in April of 1960 in Cuero, TX. They moved to Abernathy in 1960 and they owned and operated Cano Steakhouse from 1992 - 1996. She was a member of the New Harvest Baptist Church in Abernathy. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Wayne Cano, September 16, 2016. She is survived by her husband Raul "Pee Wee" Cano, Sr, of Abernathy, 4 sons, Jerry Cano of Lubbock, TX, J. R. Cano of Abernathy, Rolando Cano and wife Diana of Dallas, TX and Rene Cano of Killeen, TX, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Arron Pena and wife Josie of Temple, TX and Jose "Manolo" Pena and wife Lupe of Tuscon, AZ.
