Raymond Marquis

Services for Raymond T. Marquis, 95, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 9, 2003, in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with Rev. S. W. Keeton officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Marquis died Sunday, April 6, 2003, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on June 22, 1907 in Ranger, TX. He married Syble Marquis on August 11, 1929 in Kress, TX. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2002. He was a Hale County resident for the past 50 years and was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Foster in 1998 and a granddaughter, Rena Foster in 1977. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, Bill and David Foster, both of Lubbock, TX, and Debbie Medley of Richland Hills, TX, and 6 great grandchildren. Abell Funeral Home
