Memorial Mass for Ramiro Castillo, SR, of Hale Center, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013, in St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. Rev. John Smith will officiate. Cremation services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Castillo died Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Plainview, TX. He was born June 15, 1941 in Los Fresnos, TX to Refugio and Maria (Ybarra) Castillo. He was a longtime Hale Center resident, he farmed and was employed by Hi-Plains Hospital in Hale Center as custodian. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic CHurch. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fidel Castillo. He is survived by his wife, of over 40 years, Anita Flores of Hale Center, a step-son, Jerry Flores of Wolfforth, TX, a step-daughter, Lupe Gonzalez of Plainview, TX, 3 sons, Simon Castillo of Wheeler, TX, Ramior Castillo, Jr. of Hale Center and Fidel Castillo of Plainview, one brother, Charles Castillo of Houston, TX, 2 sisters, Elida Maldonado of Austin, TX and Sophia Castillo of Hale Center, 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
