Rosary was recited for Preston Alonzo, 92, of Hale Center, TX, at 7:00 pm in the Freeman-Abell Funeral Home in Hale Center, TX. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, April 29, 2006, in the St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Hale Center, TX, at 10:00 am with the Rev. John Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial followed Mass in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Alonzo died in Hale Center, TX, Thursday, April 27, 2006. He was born January 4, 1914 to Dianicia and Bardomiano Alonzo in Mexico. He married Santos Tenorio in 1937 and she preceded him in death May 2, 1978. He is also preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Francisca Alonzo. He is survived by 3 sons, Fernando Alonzo of Plano, TX, Jason Alonzo and Alvin Alonzo both of Hale Center, TX, 2 daughters, Juanita Pineda of Hale Center, TX and Frances Alvarez of Plainview, TX, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
