Phillip Jackson

Graveside services for Phillip Griggs Jackson, 60, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 10:00 am Friday, July 22, 2011, in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mr. Jackson died at his home, Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was born in Mount Pleasant, TX on December 16, 1950. He was raised in the Abernathy area by his parents, Oliver and Mary Ann (Kveton) Jackson, whom both preceded him in death. He graduated from Christ the King Catholic School in Lubbock, TX in 1968, and Texas Tech University with a BS in 1972. He is survived by a brother; Lee Jackson of Abernathy and a sister, Georgia Tere Violette of Abernathy and 4 nephews, Thom Jackson, Oliver Jackson, Shane Jackson and Kalvin Violette. The family suggests memorials be sent to a favorite charity. Abell Funeral Home
