Rosary for Pete Caballero, 54, of Abernathy, TX, was held at 7:30 pm Monday, November 5, 2007, in the St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Puthumparambil officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2007, in the same church with burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Pete was born January 11, 1953 in Idalou, TX to Octavio and Maria Caballero. He was a lifelong Abernathy resident and member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He left this earth to be with the Lord his Savior on Saturday, November 3, 2007. Those who preceded him in death are his parents and 2 brothers. He is survived by 9 sisters, Linda Trujillo of Denver, CO, Mary Mendez of Woodrow, TX, Rosie Martinez of Post, TX, Josie Caballero of Sweetwater, TX, Rita Rodriquez and Concha Flores both of Lubbock, TX, and Anita Cantu, Judy Perez and Francis Soto all of Abernathy, TX, one brother, Joe Caballero of Abernathy, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
