Graveside services for Patricia Ann Burford Winkles,63, of Shallowater, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2008, in the City of Lubbock Cemetery with Rev. Ken Horn officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. She died Friday, February 8, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born October 20, 1944 in Clovis, NM and lived there until she was 5 years old. The family moved to Lubbock, TX in 1971 and to Shallowater in 1976. She married Lowrey Dwayne Winkles in Shallowater, TX, where she had lived since building her home on the family farm in 1976. She was the bookkeeper at the Shallowater Gin. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Burford. She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Winkles of Shallowater, TX, 3 children, Brian Fenn of Shallowater, TX, Terri Lancaster of Portales, NM and Jodi Dyer of Abilene, TX, a sister, Judy Myrick of Clovis, NM and a brother Larry Burford of Idaho, 5 grandchildren, Heahter Stoup, Tristan and Bree Lancaster, Bailey and Kobie Dyer, and a great granddaughter, Kenlee Stroup. The family suggests memorials be sent to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. Abell Funeral Home
