Pat Jones

Graveside services for Pat Jones, 74, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Mike O' Donnell officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Jones died Saturday, August 24, 2013, at her home. She was born October 30, 1938 in Abernathy to Earnest Lee and Zanette (Williams) Elkins and married Waymon Keith Jones December 7, 1957 in Clovis, NM. She was a lifetime Abernathy resident and a stay at home Mom. She was preceded in death by a son, ,Cary Jones, October 15, 1965, and a sister Carole Popham, March 14, 1994. She is survived by her husband, Waymon of Abernathy, a daughter, Dana Bryant and husband Larry of Abernathy, and a son, Cody Jones and wife Michelle of Pickerington, OH, 4 grandchildren, Krista Gibson and husband Phil, Erin Cillessen and husband Duane, Megan King and husband Shiloh and Dane Jones and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Ernestine and Wendell Hughes of New Deal, TX, Gwen Royal of Abernathy and Diane and Ronnie Vandygriff of Houston, 2 brothers, Allen and Rayetta Elkins of Georgetown, TX and Bill and Rosa Elkins of Amarillo, TX. The family sugguests memorials be sent to a favorite charity.
