Services for Opal Lee, 89, of Hale Center, TX, were held Thursday at 10:00 am at the Hale Center Church of Christ with Silas Short of Post officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery, under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Lee died Monday, December 2, 2002, in Hale Center, TX. She was born on March 1, 1913 in Mineola, Arkansas. She married T.J. Lee on February 17, 1936 in Mena, Arkansas. He preceded her in death June 29, 1992. She moved to Hale Center from Whitney, TX in 1978. She was a member of the Hale Center Senior Citizens and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors: 3 sister-in-laws: Vera Lee of Hale Center, Inez Jefferson of Tyler and Flora McNutt of California Numerous nieces and nephews and caregiver and friend, Maggie Flores. Abell Funeral Home
