Graveside services for Ona Couch, 96, of Petersburg, TX, were held at 2:00 pm (MT) Saturday, January 15, 2005, in the Causey Cemetery in Causey, NM, with Louis Schaap officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Couch died Thursday, January 13, 2005 in Hale Center, TX. She was born March 15, 1908 in Richland, NM. She married John W. Couch September 28, 1923 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1988. She moved to Petersburg from Socorro, NM in 1988 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by 2 children, John Murrell Couch and Jackie Wynell Couch. She is survived by 3 daughters, Dorothy Collins of Petersburg, TX, Eunice Petross and husband Eddie of Kenniwick, WA and Lajuan Barrett and her husband Tom of Kerrville, TX, a sister Georgia Chitty of Fresno, CA, 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
