Services for Nora Bessie Beggs, 96, of Hale Center, TX and formerly of Eloy, AZ, were held at 10:00 am Monday, October 21, 2002, in Eloy, AZ. Local arrangements are under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, Tx. Arrangements in Eloy, AZ. are under the direction of Valley Funeral Home. Mrs. Beggs died in Hale Center, TX on Tuesday, October 15, 2002. She was born on June 10, 1906 in Hopkins County, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Beggs, in 1963. She moved to Hale Center in 1996 from Oklahoma, where she had lived since 1987. She had previously lived in Eloy, AZ for many years. While in Arizona she worked at the Arizona State Children's Colony and had worked at a Day Care in the Grandmothers Program until she was 75 years old. She was a member of the Assembly of God. She is survived by; 3 daughters, Mary Littlejohn and her husband Dean of Hale Center, TX, Oma Lou Brannon and her husband Bill, of Homosassa, FL, and Nancy Pierson and her husband Brady of Buckhorn, NM. 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
