Nancy Erwin Private services for Nancy Erwin, 68, of Grand Prairie, Tx., were held in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, Tx. The family received friends at Freeman-Abell Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday, January 28, 2002. Mrs. Erwin was born in Eastland, Tx., June 22, 1933 to J. B. and Alma McAfee Cornett. She married Roy Lynn King and he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Hale Center High School. She was employed by the Coalition For Life for 7 years organizing charity fund raisers. As a Christian, Mrs. Erwin was a daily witness for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was known as Nana to all, and will truly be missed by her family and friends. Survivors; 2 sons, Terry King of Euless, Tx., and Barry King of Dallas, Tx. 1 daughter, Mickey Banner of Wills Point, Tx. 1 brother, George Cornett of Hale Center, Tx. 6 sisters, Marie Lewis, Jeanette Steen and Nell Rogers all of Hale Center, Tx., Silvia Shackleford of Cotton Center, Tx, Jean Curry of Tahoka, Tx., and Mary Ancheta of Pacific Grove, Ca. 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
