Services for Minnie Marie Fowler, 78 of Abernathy, Tx will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at First Baptist Church Abernathy with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, Tx. The family will gather to receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 PM Tuesday February 15, 2022. Mrs. Fowler died Thursday, February 10, 2022 in Abernathy. Minnie Marie Fowler was born February 23, 1943 in Abernathy to Finus and Minnie (Chastain) Hill. Marie delivered newspapers in Abernathy for twenty years. She was employed by the United States Postal service for 24 years, retiring in 2018. She enjoyed getting to travel with her family. She loved her granddaughters and great grandchildren, and especially getting to take her granddaughters shopping. Marie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #809 and the Abernathy First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Finus Marion Hill September 25, 1993 and Minnie Nicky Chastain July 23, 2012 Marie is survived by her children Robbie Fowler of Coahoma, Tx and Renee Kemp and husband James of Abernathy, 5 granddaughters Brandi Murphey and husband Noel of Lubbock, Tx, Bailey Valdez of Abernathy, Cheyenna Dominguez and husband Mat of Lubbock, Madison Kemp of Abernathy, and Brittany Melendez and husband Jeremie of Coahoma, 9 great grandchildren, a Brother Norval Hill and wife Mary of Hale Center, Tx and a sister Pat Richards and husband George of Andrews, Tx.
