Minnie Casey

Services for Minnie Louise Casey, 87, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 26, 2012, in the Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Jennifer Queener, Granddaughter to Mrs. Casey, and Rev. Mike O'Donnell officiated.. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. She died on Sunday evening, January 22, 2012. She was born on August 14, 1924 in Louisana to George Wesley and Mary Ollie (Bell) Mangum. She married Jack Casey on December 6, 1944 in Durant, OK. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1993. They moved to Abernathy from Lubbock in 1970 and owned and operated Casey's Greenhouse in Abernathy until retiring in 1993. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Calvin Casey in 1998 and Clarence Casey in 2010, 17 siblings and 3 grandchildren. She is survived by 3 children, Alvin Wayne Casey of Lubbock, TX, Mary Lois Casey of Abernathy, TX and Larry Dean Casey of College Station, TX a sister, Eula Nell Satpleton of Abernathy, TX, one brother, Cecil Mangum of Ft. Worth, TX, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Abell Funeral Home
