Mildred Turner

Services for Mildred Bell Turner, known all of her life as Mickey, age 100, of Abernathy, TX were held 2:00 pm Monday, July 2, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Abernathy with Rev. Michael O'Donnell, pastor, officiating. Burial followed services in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Turner died June 30, 2007 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on March 16, 1907 in Southland, TX to W.H. and Annie Robison. She was the fifth child of 13 children. She married Thomas Neff Turner on August 21, 1928 in County Line, TX. They were married for 72 years before he preceded her in death on September 27. 2000. Also preceding her in death is a daughter, Geneva Turner in 1935 and a son-in-law, Charles Evans in 2003. Survivors include three daughters, Reba Buske and her husband, W.D. of Friona, TX, Silverine Hughes and her husband Bill of Eagles Nest, NM, and Pat Evans of Abernathy, TX, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
