Mickey Blankenship

Longtime Hale Center resident, Mickey Blankenship Sr., died on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Cremation services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center. He was born February 21, 1939 in Lubbock to G.C. and Jessie (Woodrow) Blankenship. He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. In 1974, he opened B & B Construction Company in Hale Center, TX. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shanda Lynn Venable. He is survived by a son, Mickey Blankenship Jr. and wife Selena Tenorio of Hale Center, TX, and a sister, Sue Terry and husband Jim of Lubbock, TX.
