Mary Williford

Funeral services for Mary Beth Williford, 76, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2004, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Lowrie and Rev. Dennis Teeters officiating. Burial followed in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. Mrs. Williford died Sunday, December 5, 2004, in Lubbock, TX. She married Jimmie Wayne Williford September 2, 1960. He preceded her in death February 16, 1978. She graduated from Sudan High School and Draughn's Business College. She was a longtime Abernathy resident and had been employed at Consumers Fuel Assn in Abernathy for many years. She was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother,, Kenneth Wells. She is survived by 2 daughters, Rita Beth Kennedy and her husband David of Ft. Worth, TX, Rose Mary Smith and her husband Dan of Wolfforth, TX, a brother, Robert Wells of Topeka, KS, 4 sisters, Wanda Patton of Lubbock, TX, Billye Doty and JoAnn Chester both of Sudan, TX, Linda Gawkoski of Wimberly, TX. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Randy Wayne Kennedy, David Ryan Kennedy, Elizabeth Renea Kennedy, Stephen James Smith and Stephanie Rose Smith.
