Mary (Hix) Megna

Mary (Hix) Megna died Saturday morning, May 11, 2024 in Lubbock, TX. She was born March 24, 1934 in Abernathy, TX to Nash Clay and Beatrice(Matejowsky) Hix. A private family burial will be held in the Abernathy Cemetery at a later date. Mary lived in Abernathy most of her life and had lived in Lubbock the last part of her life. She was always an advocate for the underdog, while being a very private person. She married Francis Michael Megna in Abernathy in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1971. Mary ran the family farm for many years. She is also preceded in death by 2 sons Johnny and Tommy Megna. Mrs. Megna is survived by her daughter Laura Lambert and husband Mike of Abernathy, five grandchildren Ryan Lambert, Allison Delgado, Nash Lambert, J. Frank Megna and Emily Dorman, and 4 great grandchildren Knox and Quinn Delgado, Hannah Gilespie, and Brooklyn Lambert.
