Mary Lambert

Graveside services for Mary W. Lambert, 86, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 4:00 pm Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. John Lowrie officiating. Mrs. Lambert died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 31, 1917 in Canton, TX. She married John Herman Lambert, August 25, 1934 in Canton. He preceded her in death April 4, 1984. She come to Abernathy in 1936 where they raised their four sons. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Lambert, January 8, 1975. She is survived by 3 sons, LaDoyce Lambert and his wife Gloria of Odessa, TX, Sherrell Lambert and his wife Robbie of Lubbock, TX, and Dick Lambert also of Lubbock, TX, a brother, Morgan Douthit of Mexia, TX. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Rick Lambert of Garland, TX, Sebrina Carroll of Lubbock, TX and Amy Lambert of Odessa, TX, and 4 great grandchildren, Rich and Amber Carroll, Michael and Sara Lambert. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Abernathy Cemetery, Hospice of Lubbock or to a favorite charity. Abell Funeral Home
