Services for Mary Ella Harrison, 85, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 11:00 am Monday, June 23, 2008, in the Hale Center Church of Christ. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Harrison died at her residence in Hale Center, June 19, 2008. She was born September 7, 1922 in Becton, TX. She was a graduate of New Deal High School in 1941 and attended Draughns Business College. She married Rex Harrison, December 11, 1945 in Lubbock, TX. She had been employed with the Hale Center Post Office for 27 years. She is survived by her husband, Rex Harrison of Hale Center, TX, a son Mike Harrison of Abernathy, TX, a daughter, Marilyn Harrison of Hale Center, TX, 2 brothers, Eddie Daugherty of Plainview, TX and Lloyd Daugherty of Mineral Wells, TX and 3 grandchildren, Troy Harrison, Joel Harrison and Ryan Harrison and his wife Robin.
