Rosary services for Martina Mindieta, 66, of Hale Center, TX, were held 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2011 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 am Monday, March 14, 2011, at the same church with Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Mindieta died at her residence in Hale Center on March 9, 2011. She was born on December 5, 1944 in Natalia, TX and married Gregorio (George) Mindieta on July 4, 1962 in Post, TX. She moved to Hale Center in 1989 and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, George Mindieta of Hale Center, TX; 3 sons: Ricky Mindieta of Amarillo, TX, Gregorio Mindieta, III and Mario Mindieta, both of Hale Center, TX; a daughter, Lisa Mindieta of Lubbock, TX; 6 grandchidlren; 4 sisters, Cuca Gutierrez, Helen Boacanera, Gregoria Fuentes, Mary Lou Martinez and a brother, Octlabano Espinoza.
