Martha Rackley

Graveside services for Martha Rackley, 88, of San Antonio, TX will be held Monday, September 23, 2002 at 1:00 pm at Parklawn Memorial Park in Plainview, TX with Jeffrey Scott, First Baptist Church of Levelland, TX, officiating. Services are under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Rackley died Friday, September 20, 2002 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on March 18, 1914 in Emhouse, TX. She married Louis Rackley in Durant, OK on May 4, 1932. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1979. She moved to the Edmonson area in 1948 and she and her husband farmed in the Edmonson and Plainview areas. They moved to Hale Center in 1973 and she lived there until moving to San Antonio, TX in 1987. She was a former member of the McCoy Baines Chapter of the DAR in Plainview and the Beta Sigma Phi National Sorority since 1956. She is survived by; 2 sons, Charles Rackley of San Antonio, TX and Mike Rackley of Clovis, NM. 2 daughters, Patsy Baker of Lebanon, MO and Shirley Hay of San Antonio, TX. 1 sister, Charlotte Walker of Corsicana, TX. 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
