Services for Manuela Dominguez Gomez, 93, of Plainview, TX, will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in Iglesia Bautista del Carpintero, Hale Center, TX. The family will remain at the church following the services until 5:00 pm. Cremation and services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Gomez died Sunday, December 31, 2013, in Plainview. She was born November 29, 1920 to Juan and Lorenza (Ortiz) Dominguez. She married Demencio Casanova Gomez, Sr., January 13, 1940 in Odem, TX. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2010. She was a homemaker. She is survived by 5 sons, Baldemar Gomez and Rudolfo Gomez both of Hale Center, TX, Leo Gomez of Spring, TX, Demencio Gomez, Jr., and Sabrino Gomez both of Plainview, 3 sisters, Soila Gomez of Plainview, Aurora Cray of Rowlett, TX and Diamantina Galvan of Lubbock, TX, 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren, a sister, Anita Gomez of Merced, CA.
