Rosary for Manuel Castillo, 69, of Hale Center, TX, were recited Sunday, January 18, 2004, at 7:00 pm, in St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 am Monday, January 19, 2004, in the same church with Rev. Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Castillo died Thursday, January 15, 2004, in Lubbock, TX. He was born October 13, 1934 in Texas. He married Elida Ramirez in Plainview, TX. He was a longtime Hale Center resident and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Survivors; Wife, Elida Castillo of Plainview, TX. 2 sons, Jessie Castillo and his wife Esmerelda, and Charlie Castillo and his wife Sally all of Hale Center, TX. 2 brothers, Benny Castillo of Wisconsin and Frank Castillo of Colorado. 1 sister, Dora Martinez of Austin, TX. 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren.
