Mamie Childress

Graveside services for Mamie Childress, 92, of Hale Center, TX, were held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 24, 2004, in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Childress died November 19, 2004 in Waco, Texas. She was bon February 2, 1912 in Hugo, OK. She married Ray Childress on February 1, 1943, he preceded her in death February 21, 1972. She lived in Hale Center most of her life, she enjoyed crocheting and was very committed to her family. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include a son, Ray Childress, Jr of Hale Center, TX, 2 daughters, Mary Cruse and Etta Dinwiddie of Plainview, TX, 10 grandchidlren, 21 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by a brother, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Abell Funeral Home
