Services for Mable Wolf, 93, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 30, 2004, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Lowrie, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Wolf died Friday, August 27, 2004, in Lubbock, TX. She was born July 29, 1911 in Duncan, OK. She married W. F. "Bill" Wolf in Clovis, NM, December 8, 1931. They moved their family to Abernathy in 1938 from Texico, NM. She was a member of the Abernathy Garden Club and the Abernathy First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in December of 1986 and a granddaughter, Lisa Mills in September of 2001. She is survived by 2 sons, Ralph Wolf and his wife Ann of Lubbock, TX, Wayne Wolf and his wife Lee of Stephenville, TX, 5 grandchildren, Connye Teal and her husband Ed of Abernathy, TX, Sammy Wolf and his wife Dottie of Plainview, TX, Dwayne Wolf and his wife Dawn of Stephenville, TX, Brent Wolf also of Stephenville, TX, and Crystal Traylor and her husband Randy of Hico, TX, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Fred and Robert Caywood and 4 sisters, Mona Akers, Doris Widner, Evelyn Green and Wilma Scales.
