Mable Willingham

Graveside services for Mable Leona Smith Willingham, 86, of Lubbock and formerly of Abernathy, were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2011, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Joel Perez, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Willingham died in Lubbock, TX, Sunday, February 6, 2011. She was born in Hale County, TX on April 12, 1924. She married Dude Smith on December 7, 1941 in Petersburg, TX, and after his death in 1970, she then married Hugh Willingham. She owned and operated Kids City in Lubbock County, TX for many years. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Scotty Annis in 1990. She is survived by 3 children, Dana Annis of Abernathy, TX, Ricky Smith of Abilene, TX and Anna Hill of Lubbock, TX, 3 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren, a step daughter and one step granddaughter.
