M. Daugherty

Services for M. E. "Eddie" Daugherty, 79, of Plainview, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 6, 2009, in the Abernathy Church of Christ with Steve Gauntt officiating. Viewing was held Sunday, April 5th, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Abell Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Daugherty died at his family home, Thursday, April 2, 2009. He was born December 18, 1929 at the family home, East of Abernathy, to James Morgan and Mary Ann (Jeffery) Daugherty. He served in the United States Army, being stationed in Korea. He moved from the home place outside Abernathy in 1957 to Plainview, TX, where he was currently living. He is survived by a brother, Lloyd D. Daugherty of Mineral Wells, TX, numerous nephews and nieces and extended family. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Albert Daugherty and Elmer Daugherty and 4 sisters, Thelma Cameron, Mary Harrison, Carrie Springer and Dorothy Bain. Abell Funeral Home
