Graveside services for Lorraine H. Davis, 87, of Abernathy were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Barry Tilley officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Davis died Sunday, June 11, 2006, in Lubbock, TX. She was born August 8, 1918 in Connecticut. She married Henry Clay Davis on November 11, 1939 in Yuma, AZ. She was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Scheryl Davis, and her husband, Henry Clay Davis. She is survived by 3 sons, Harvey Davis of Abernathy, TX, Harry Davis of Boise, Idaho and Henry "Skipper" Davis of Corinth, TX, a daughter, Judy Whitfield of Abernathy, TX, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
