Services for Lola Faye Bartlett, 75, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in the First Baptist Church in Abernathy with Rev. Mike O'Donnell and Rev. Brian Brownlow officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Bartlett died Monday, April 4, 2011 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on May 27, 1935 in Earth, TX and moved to Abernathy in 1974. She married Guy Bartlett on December 27, 1975 in Abernathy, TX. She was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. Faye is survived by her husband, Guy Bartlett of Abernathy, TX, a son, David and his wife, Cindy, Hunt of Abernathy, TX, 2 daughters, Rhonda and her husband, Mike Baker of Canyon, TX and Saundra and her husband, Jamie Cox of Plainview, TX, 5 sisters, Virginia Easley, Josephine Schulz, Trudy Downs, Wanda and her husband Ed Horsford, Darlene Ashby; a sister-in-law, Glenda Barrett and 4 grandchildren, Lindsey and her husband, Kody McCarrell of Canyon, TX, Erin & her husband, Sean Mueller of Lubbock, TX, Cassidy Baker of Canyon, TX and Ethan Hunt of Whiteman Air Force Base, MO She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Daniel Barrett, Doug Barrett and Calvin Barrett and a step-son Van Bartlett.
