Linda Fay Downs

Linda Fay Downs, 68, of Abernathy died at her home Saturday, February 1, 2020. She was born in Lubbock, TX, December 29, 1951 to B. G. "Bill" and DeAlva (Seawright) Daily. She graduated Abernathy High School in 1970 and married Randy Downs September 18, 1970 in Abernathy, TX. Linda loved cooking and was very organized and had a great memory for dates and circumstances, She was considered the family historian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and DeAlva Daily, 4 siblings, Billy K. Daily, Glenn W. Daily, Mary Ann Lester and Gwendolyn R. Spencer. She is survived by her husband, Randy Downs of Abernathy, a sister Brenda Neves and husband James of Stephenville, TX, numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be sent to either the American Cancer Society, 3513 10th Street, Lubbock, TX 79415 or to the American Heart Association, 10900-B Stone Lake Blvd, Ste 320, Austin, TX 78759. No services are planned at this time.
