Rosary for Leonard Mansanales, 79, of Lubbock, TX., were held at 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2007, in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Chorikavunkal, pastor, officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 11, 2007, in the same church. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Mansanales died Sunday, January 7, 2007, in Lubbock, TX. He was born August 7, 1927 in Runge, TX. He married Earline Vara Velo on February 19, 1953 in Wolforth, TX. She preceded him in death July 1, 1991. He was a longtime Abernathy resident and member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He is survived by a son, Leonard Mansanales, Jr. of Lubbock, TX, 3 daughters, Diane Navarro of Lubbock, TX, Margie Ramirez of Wolforth, TX, and Lorraine Gallardo of Plainview, TX, 2 sisters, Isabel Mansanales and Lupe Mansanales both of Runge, TX, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
