Memorial services for Lee Anne Allen, 62, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Abernathy United, Abernathy, TX with Rev. Janet Edwards officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Lee Anne died Wednesday August 18, 2021 in Lubbock, TX. She was born May 21, 1959 in Lubbock, TX to Billy Kenneth Phillips and Theo (Pharr) Phillips. She was raised in Abernathy, graduating from Abernathy High School. She grew up around farming and never strayed from those roots. Lee Anne had a successful career in the agricultural chemical industry. She later attended South Plains College where she took classes for coding. Lee Anne was a friend to everyone she met, including the many animals that she often rescued. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and loved nothing more than being with her family. Lee Anne is preceded in death by her parents Billy Kenneth Phillips September 3, 2005 and Theo Joy Phillips May 10, 2014, and brothers Richard Phillips May 2, 2007 and Roger Phillips August 12, 2020. She is survived by a son, Cody Allen of Lubbock, daughter Nicolle Apel and husband Michael Bushell of Lubbock, grandchildren Hunter Apel of Aurora, CO, Hallie Bushell of Lubbock, Haidyn Bushell of Lubbock, Alexis Allen of Lubbock, Kaedyn Garcia of Dallas, TX and Ethan Lee Allen of Dallas, a brother Steve Phillips and wife Leslie of Victoria, TX and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Family suggests memorials be sent to the Shriners Hospitals for Children 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607.
