Lawrence Motheral

Lawrence Motheral left this earth to meet his Creator on Feb. 16, 2014 at the age of 83. Mr. Motheral was a long time resident of Abernathy, but spent the last 7 years in Cartmell Home for the Aged in Palestine, Texas. He had enjoyed a full life and passed peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Agnes Motheral of Abernathy, three sisters, Imogene Shires (Burnie) of Amarillo, Wilma Pope (E. J.) and Wynelle Pope (Leslie) of Abernathy and a brother, Billy John Motheral (Glenda) of Altus, OK. He is survived by two brothers, Donald Motheral (Billie) of Kress and R K Motheral (P.J.) of Palestine, TX. He leaves behind an extended family, many friends, and a truly dedicated staff at Cartmell. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the Church of Christ in Abernathy, TX, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
