Born on March 10, 1962, in Garden City, Kansas, to Albert and Margaret Rodriguez. Larry’s 64 years were marked by a profound commitment to family, an enterprising spirit, and a generous heart.

Larry’s journey was shaped by deep familial ties. He was the cherished son of Albert Rodriguez and the late Margaret Rodriguez, whose guidance and support helped form the foundation of his warm and welcoming nature. Family sat at the center of Larry’s world, and his devotion was evident in every aspect of his life. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Vicenta Rodriguez; his son, Larry Vincent Rodriguez and wife, Meranda Trevino-Rodriguez; his daughter, Veronica Marie Rodriguez and wife, Amber Campos-Rodriguez; and his grandchildren, Jovie, Atreus, and a baby girl on the way, his father, Albert Rodriguez, all of Lubbock, Texas, and his siblings Frances Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Juanita Gonzales, Gilbert Rodriguez, Maria Castro, Jaime Rodriguez, Dora Rodriguez. 

Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Rodriguez. 

A true entrepreneur, Larry owned and operated Larry Rodriguez Construction for more than 27 years, beginning in 1999. Building and running his own business was not a solitary endeavor; it was a family effort in every sense, with his wife, parents, and later children working alongside him over the years. Larry took great pride in his company, not just for what it built, but for the sense of unity and collaboration it fostered within his family.

Larry was known for his love of music—Van Halen and Silver Bullet Band were particular favorites—and he found great joy in listening to his favorite tunes. His creative streak extended to photography, and he often captured life’s moments with a keen eye and steady hand. Larry loved spending time outdoors, frequently working in his yard, building or creating something new, always relishing the satisfaction of shaping the world around him.

His personality was magnetic—Larry was exceptionally personable, leaving an unforgettable impression on everyone he met. Those fortunate enough to cross paths with him found a friend who genuinely cared, who listened well, and who brought laughter and light with his presence. He was a steadfast provider, making sure his children always had everything they needed and delighting in giving gifts—online shopping was one of his favorite ways to extend his generosity.

Larry Gene Rodriguez’s passing leaves a void for all who knew and loved him. His unwavering kindness, work ethic, and deep devotion to family will forever be cherished.
