Rosary for Larry Hernandez, 30, of Abernathy, TX, was recited Monday and Tueaday evenings at 7:00 pm in the St. Isidore Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the same church with Rev. Jacob Puthumparambil, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Hernandez died in Lubbock, Friday, February 22, 2008. He was born January 15, 1978 in Hale Center, TX to Larry Hernandez and Flora (Luera) Hernandez. He was raised in Abernathy and graduated from Abernathy High School in 1996. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Abernathy, TX. He is survived by 2 brothers, Billy Hernandez and his wife Brenda of Abernathy, TX, and Juan Hernandez of Lubbock, TX, grandparents, Terezo and Cecilia Luera of Abernathy, TX, a great grandmother, Julia Cortez of Abernathy, TX, 3 neices and 2 nephews. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Jesse Luera and his wife Elizabeth, Josie Luera and Terezo Luera, Jr., all of Abernathy, TX, Julie Pineda and husband Paul of New Deal, TX, Rosie Garza of Houston, TX, Delia Wright and husband Abraham of Midland, TX and Dora Arredondo and husband Rey of Odessa, TX.
